Don't be a jerk. Be respectful of all of those here on the site. After all, we're here to have fun.
No word count, but avoid one liners and try to give what you have received if not more. After all, if one writers a long post and another replies with a simple one liner, the effort seems to be wasted.
You can have as many characters as you can handle, but avoid taking characters who would interact with one another on a daily basis (ie Harry/Ron/Hermione).
Make sure to fill out your profile accurately. If you need some guidance on some of the image sizes or what each field might mean, head over to this thread for more information.
For characters related to canon characters, make sure to ask staff beforehand, and have a good reason why they might not have appeared in the books. IE: A sibling of James Potter could have died prior to Harry's birth and thus never mentioned would be acceptable. However, a Weasley sibling who simply keeps getting lost in the background wouldn't work as well as their siblings would at least mention them.
Avoid roleplaying prior to your application being approved. Make sure to fill out your claims before making a thread as well. After all, there may be something the staff notice that may need to be changed. However, feel free to make plotting pages and character requests prior to approval.
