History
[attr="class","invisscroll"]Godric was born in the Scotland area to a couple of nobles. He grew up in the lap of luxury, but he didn't feel like simply living his life as a noble. There was something more to his life.
As he was raised by magical parents, he knew about most of the world as those with magical powers could teleport and travel much easier. However, they kept away from the muggles who knew much less than them. In those years the wizards while scattered knew much more than the muggles and were far more advanced in most ways as they had magic, and the muggles were afraid of those like him. Thus he was taught to hide, as was common practice, unless one was only around other magical beings or people. Godric disliked it, but it was to protect the muggles really, as wizards didn't need to worry given they had magic.
Regardless, Godric was taught magic by his mother while his father went out and did his 'duties as a nobleman', blending in with the muggles all the while. However, their family only employed those with magical blood. There were others around whom his father dealt with and he became friends with the children - the other future founders.
When he was 13 years old, he was playing outside of his manor, when he heard a scream from nearby. It was a young girl a bit younger than him and he quickly found out why she had screamed: a lion was jumping up at her as she was in a tree, likely climbed it to get away from it. Godric pulled out his wand and tackled the lion before sending sparks at the creature, eventually fighitng him off. The girl, he found, had been a muggle - or at least believed she was, but in reality, Godric found she too had magical abilities. Hell, he had no idea how a lion could have gotten to the Scottish Highlands.
He brought her back to his home and explained the situation to his parents, who told him to leave her alone - she'd find out that what she saw was actually real and not her imagination. However, he began to teach her in the nights about magic. He found out her name was Marianne, and he really enjoyed her presence, one might even call him infatuated.
At the age of 15, he asked for her hand in marriage and the two were wed the next year, much to his parents' dismay as they valued their bloodline. Unfortunately his father fell ill and died soon after leaving the estate to Godric. Perhaps it was luckily as his parents were ready to disown him for his marriage to Marianne. Regardless, he began his life as a young noble boy
Eventually, he and his three friends from the families his father dealt with, founded a school. There he welcomed even muggle borns much to his best friend, Salazar's dismay. Godric was 17 when the school was founded. Just a year ago, or rather what felt like a year ago when it had actually been centuries, he and Salazar had a major fight which lead Sal to leave the school. Godric was torn up but he continued their work on the school with the two that remained.
After being revived, Godric rose in Godric's Hollow, and was soon found by some odd wizards. It took a good while for him to understand what was going on, but after he understood, he was amazed. Only the best could get a second chance and to see the future. But things were so different than things in his time, while they were still in hiding, the muggles seemed to be somewhat more advanced than the wizards which he disliked immensely.
Regardless, he insisted to return to Hogwarts and teach, and after much insisting, he was granted the Defense Against the Dark Arts position and Head of Gryffindor House (of course, he would expect nothing less), on a preliminary basis, so long as he followed the current rules, the current standards and would study up on the centuries of magic that were discovered since his time - of course there was much lost magic as well, which was partly why he was granted the position in the first place.
